Taswell is an unincorporated community in Patoka Township, Crawford County, Indiana, located on State Road 64 west of the county seat of English. It was established at a crossroads and had a post office and a small railroad depot serving the farmers and other inhabitants of the area. Since the 1980s when Patoka Lake filled, Taswell's economy has been dominated by tourism, boating and recreational services.
