Glencoe is located within the New Trier High School District. Glencoe is the birthplace of poet Archibald MacLeish. Other well known residents have included actors Fred and Ben Savage, writer Gene Siskel, film director / writer / actor Harold Ramis, actor Bruce Dern, actress Lili Taylor.
