A port of entry for Bay Ferries from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, Bar Harbor is a famous summer colony in the Down East region of Maine. It is home to the College of the Atlantic, Jackson Laboratory and Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory.
