It is best known as being the closest town to the junction of I-75 and the Macon city bypass, I-475. Bolingbroke has two antique shops, two gas stations, a fine-dining restaurant, a bank, a post office, a fire station, and a tea room that serve as a short getaway for Maconites and Middle Georgians on a sunny afternoon. It is a rapidly growing location. The community is part of the Macon Metropolitan Statistical Area.
